Kandy is not really known for its nightlife. It’s more of a peaceful destination.The best places to go out in Sri Lanka are Colombo, or beach resorts such as Unuwatuna and Hikkaduwa. You could go to The pub.
The pub
Although the name of this pub is not that original, it really is a nice place to escape from the streets and simply have relaxing conversations with friends while sipping your beer, cocktail or soda drink.
Pub Royale
Another nice pub is Pub Royale. This pub is located next to the Queens Hotel, and has an old English atmosphere. A quiet place good for talks with friends over a nice beer.
Le Garage
Le Garage is located in the Amaya Hills, and the most nearby disco to be found in the Kandy area. It is approximately a thirty minutes drive by Tuk-Tuk. Keep in mind that this disco is only opened at Saturday evenings
Old Trinitians Sports Club (OTSC)
The OTSC or Old Trinitians Sports Club is a good place to head down for the weekends. There’s music and dance here from 20:00 onwards on Fridays and Saturdays. It is a members-only club, but for a nominal fee you can enter as a guest. There’s also a pool table which you can use. They do have a dress code so don’t go in your flip flops and shorts.
